Messiah
Lutheran Church
Acts 2:42 ESV
Fellowship, in the context of Scripture, is connected to God's Word ("the apostles' teaching"). That context is continued at Messiah Lutheran. We fellowship together around God's Word in a variety of ways.
On Sundays we worship at 9:00 AM. We follow that worship with fellowship at 10:15. It gives us an opportunity to converse with one another with God's Word as the focus. Currently we are studying the book of Ephesians.
On Tuesday evenings (7:00 PM) we have a fellowship group that is going through the Bible in a year. They follow "The One Year Bible" readings and discuss them in one of our family's homes.
On Wednesday evenings (6:30 PM) we are currently studying the book of Revelation. We use LifeLight materials as our guide as we discuss God's view of how His story unfolds.
Thursdays bring fellowship in a slightly different form. On the first and third Thursdays (7:00 PM) we are discussing Deitrich Bonnhoeffer's The Cost of Discipleship. On the second Thursday (7:00 PM) we have a prayer team that gathers to discuss how to grow in prayer and pray for those in need.
